A Family Trade
La Esperanza Tortilla Factory is a family owned business that has been in operation for over 20 years. In 1998, Jose and Cecilia Favela, began distributing and selling tortillas to local restaurants and grocery stores with just one tortilla machine. Making fresh 'hot' tortillas available in grocery stores led us to become one of the first pioneers to do this in the tortilla business. Thanks to this effort it is now common to find fresh tortillas in most grocery stores today.
Today La Esperanza Tortilla Factory continues to be owned and operated by the Favela's and their children.
Delivering Freshness One City at a Time
La Esperanza Tortilla Factory distributes products throughout the entire El Paso and Southern New Mexico areas. This include the areas from Tornillo and San Elizario to Las Cruces and Hatch NM. You can find our products in most local groceries stores and restaurants, as well as in all Circle K convenience stores in this region.

Throughout the years, La Esperanza Tortilla Factory has continued to grow. As a result, our line of products continues to expand. We offer a variety of corn tortillas such as the “hot” tortillas, taco tortillas, and flauta tortillas. We also offer corn chips, masa for tamales and a snack line of tostaditas & flour chicharrones of various flavors.
More Than Just a Factory
At La Esperanza Tortilla Factory we sell more than just tortillas. For almost 20 years we have served some of the best Menudo and Barbacoa in the El Paso area. You can find our kitchen open and ready to serve our delicious Menudo and Barbacoa every weekend. Only available To-go.
